UC Nature
Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve joined UC Nature in 1995, and is now one of two reserves managed by the University of California Los Angeles.
The shared mission of the 41 Reserves that comprise UC Nature is to contribute to the understanding and wise stewardship of the Earth and its natural systems by supporting university level teaching, research, and public service on our protected natural areas throughout California.
What We Do At Stunt
Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve is located in the southernmost mountains of the biologically and geologically diverse Transverse Ranges in rural Los Angeles County. We support research, university level courses, K-12th grade field trips, and community engagement events.
History
Stunt Ranch Reserve lies on land that marked the interface between two native Californian tribes, the Gabrielino and the Chumash. The land has a deep history of tribal and early settler activity.
Our Field Station
Our multifunctional biological field station serves as a sustainable and inclusive learning space that accommodates the needs of our diverse visitors.
