For decades, researchers have utilized Stunt Ranch Reserve. We are conveniently situated to greater Los Angeles, and provide a secluded, secure private reserve that is ideally located to facilitate the examination of environmental variables and the native biota of the Santa Monica Mountains. Its habitat diversity and archaeological significance make Stunt an ideal location for a wide range of studies in disciplines including botany, ecology, archaeology, geology, and environmental sciences, and we welcome short- and long-term research projects.

Encouraging a student’s curiosity and creativity is exceptionally effective when stepping away from the traditional classroom environment. Stunt Ranch offers university faculty a stunning setting to engage students in a variety of learning experiences, ranging from fieldwork techniques, to landscape photography training, to the observation of ecological processes. Our on-site classroom comes fully equipped with all the necessary supplies for instructors to conduct preliminary lectures before embarking on trail-based activities.

Stunt Ranch is a UC Natural Reserve site known for its excellent K-12 programs. To schedule a field trip to Stunt Ranch, contact reserve management to be connected with the current partners overseeing Stunt’s K-12 education programs.
